Parizat Nesting Home is currently home to over 40 girls from some of the most underprivileged areas of Nepal. International volunteers are valued at the center, as they can share their language, culture, and positive ideas. Volunteer tutors will be assisting students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 with a focus on the areas of English, Maths or Sciences outside of their regular classroom hours. As the girls have traveled to Parizat from different areas of the country, their education journeys may not all be the same. Having additional tutoring in the major subjects can help them to gain confidence in studying with their peers. There is a great interest from the girls to communicate with volunteers from around the world as they can gain new insights and exposure.

The center will be closed during the months of October and November due to the festival season.

When you volunteer with our teaching program, you not only help girls from disadvantaged communities gain access to equal education, you also gain personal development skills and professional teaching experience by:

Highlights

  • Are you interested to teach in a city known for it’s history, vibrant culture and stunning architecture? Volunteer To The World’s Teaching project in Kathmandu, Nepal enables volunteers to help teach subjects such as English, Maths or Science to communities who need them most. In Nepal, there is a gap between the quality of education in urban and rural areas. Issues such as gender and caste discrimination also currently play a role in unequal access to opportunities in rural areas. Through our tutoring program, volunteers gain experience in helping girls from some of the most disadvantaged communities gain access to a better education.
