Position Title: Disability Support & Inclusive Education Volunteer
Daily Tasks & Typical Schedule:
- Assisting special educators during classroom activities (pre-school, junior, pre-vocational).
- Supporting therapy sessions (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy) under professional supervision.
- Helping with vocational training workshops (art & craft, block printing, diya making, packaging, etc.).
- Supporting extracurricular activities, storytelling, games, and creative learning.
- Assisting during events, celebrations, outreach programs, and community awareness activities.
- Helping with basic documentation, learning materials, and classroom organization.
Skills or Experience Required:
- Previous experience with people with special education, therapy services, vocational skills, or community inclusion is required. Being a student in the academics in a related field can serve as an alternative.
- Background in education, psychology, social work, therapy, or special education is an advantage.
- Patience, empathy, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity are essential.
Supervision & Teamwork:
- Volunteers work under close supervision of special educators, therapists, and program coordinators.
- Strong team-based environment with teachers, therapists, vocational trainers, and local volunteers.
