  1. Yechansin Youth & Children Engagement
    • Location: Yangon
    • Project Focus: Engage directly with street youth and children through teaching English, leading engaging arts and crafts sessions, and facilitating handmade activities.

Volunteers can impact communities by:

  • Engaging with street youth and children to support their development and provide crucial educational and cultural exchange through English teaching and creative activities.
  • Aiding children in learning new skills through arts and crafts and handmade activities, offering them new avenues for expression and growth.
  • Promoting cultural immersion and understanding through direct engagement with this vulnerable population.
  • These opportunities allow volunteers to contribute directly to the social welfare and educational upliftment of street children, fostering cross-cultural connection in Myanmar.

  • Empowerment and Skill Sharing: Street youth and children benefit immensely from empowerment and skill-sharing initiatives. Volunteers can contribute by sharing knowledge in areas like English language, various art forms, or practical handmade skills, enhancing their capabilities and opportunities for a better future.
  • Volunteers must be 18+ to join this program. Volunteers who are interested to join below 18 can apply if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Volunteers should speak fluent English.
  • Volunteers should have an interest in learning about education, community development, and creative engagement.
  • Experience in teaching English, arts and crafts, or leading handmade activities is a plus, but not a requirement for this program.
  • Yangon: The largest city and former capital of Myanmar, known for its bustling markets, parks, and diverse architecture, including gilded pagodas like the Shwedagon Pagoda. It has a tropical monsoon climate.
  • Day 1: Arrival and pick up from the Yangon International Airport and introduction to your hotel.
  • Day 2: Morning: registration and start of orientation. About 4 hours lecture at a designated location, possibly your hotel or a local center.
