Activities and documentation must be agreed in advance and remain subject to participant suitability, local partner priorities and availability.

Participants below age 18 must have a parent or guardian present during the trip or provide written parental consent approving the trip. For organized youth groups, VTTW must also confirm the institution’s adult supervision and safeguarding arrangements.

VTTW offers 40 programs across Thailand, Nepal, Kenya, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Seychelles, India, the Philippines and South Africa. Group availability is confirmed individually because not every program is suitable for every participant profile or group.

VTTW provides an online orientation session, pre-departure checklist, country booklet, language guide and program guide. Vaccine information may be included from government sources for general preparation, but it is not medical advice; participants should consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Travel insurance is not mandatory, but VTTW strongly recommends that every participant obtain suitable coverage for the destination, activities and duration of the program.

Every VTTW international program includes 24-hour emergency support. Program-specific preparation, local contacts and applicable safety information are provided before departure.

Yes. Every participant automatically receives a certificate after completing the project and does not need to request it.

Any institutional participation certificate, volunteer-hours record, learning documentation or post-program summary must be confirmed in the customized proposal.

Photography and use of images must respect participant, community and local partner consent. VTTW will clarify the applicable permissions for each experience.

Groups should inquire as early as possible, especially for international programs, academic-calendar dates or larger groups. Planning time depends on destination, group size, dates, participant profile and itinerary complexity.

If a preferred program does not meet the group’s needs, program requirements or available capacity, the VTTW Programs Advisor will work with the organizer to identify a more suitable option.

Deposits and program payments are non-refundable. Eligible amounts may be applied as VTTW program credit, which remains valid for up to two years, subject to the applicable terms and availability.
